  1. GrandsonofKong

You only strap one cable double the voltage or PARALLEL. BATT # 1 Positive to BATT # 2 Negative. You then tap BATT # 1 Negative for your Negative Feed OUT and BATT # 2 Positive for your Positive Feed OUT. This will get you double voltage but not amperage
Strap Positive to Positive and Negative to Negative for SERIES, which doubles amperage but not voltage.
You can expand these techniques to higher levels for greater voltage or amperage with more batteries, but watch your + and – connections!

  2. couldn’t you have simply encased both of the wire fittings in shrink wrap and cutting the hole for the bolt out? preventing them from ever touching? instead of having to cut off a pre-existing wire and crimping a new fitting on. would seem to be the better option when considering doing it on the cheap, no need in buying or using up a fitting. you could also have grinded the old fitting down a little too.

  3. Lol you messed up on that series explanation lol.If you do what you said you would shortcircuit the batteries..you only need one wire from positive to negative. the two other poles is where you connect your wires to the inverter or whatever you want to hook up to the batteries
