By recycling vegetable oil from local restaurants to make biodiesel. The oil companies on the other hand intentionally ship their petroleum overseas to be refined, ignoring the fact that they have nearby refineries. Their tankers literally pass each other twice at sea…once with crude cargo and once with refined cargo.

Living green probably includes not using gas. And that reduces your dependency on gas.
But that’s not all of us.
We would all have to use less gas to get rid of dependency.
But it helps… a little

Recycling means we use less oil to produce oil based products.
Riding you bicycle or car pooling – Obvious.
Using less electricity means less fuel is used to produce that electricity.
