Is EVERYONE here earning a living wage in a harmless green job- close to home?

Are we all exceptions with no rule?

  1. My city was doing okay until all our jobs moved to Mexico (not China).
The rust belt is Fvcked with a capital F. In a few decades you’ll have NYC, Boston and the rest of the NorthEast US will be one massive ghost town.

  2. No. My salary is inadequate for where I live. The cost of living here is out-of-sight! Not to mention my work experience and level of education – the salary is simply inadequate.

But I am close to my work – I only live 4.5 miles away.

  3. There’s no such thing as a "living wage".

If you’re ambitious you can support yourself without money.

  4. Nope. I have to work a minimum wage job 15 miles away. There are no jobs in my area (well unless your born into a farming family but I wasn’t so I have to go find work else were) and of course there’s no trains or buses for people who live across from the corn fields so all the gas come out of my pocket.

the only reason I’m okay is cuz my parents are helping me while I go to college (35 miles away because there’s nothing closer) so it’s not really a "livable wage"
