I know people that have green cards for over 20-25 years and have not one day permanently lived in the US. They travel every 6 months or every year and spend like 2 weeks and return home without getting caught. How is this possible?
Also I have known people that spend 2 years out of the country without a re-entry permit and return to the US without any problems. Trust me these people aint lying. How can this be?
Government is working on passports and other ID’s with a chip embedded. Soon they will get caught.
It’s not possible. You are being lied to or they have been very, very, very lucky. The law is crystal clear on the subject.
There are a couple CBP Officers who post on this board. I’m sure they’ll be along to post here and fill you in. They are watching closely for people like you are describing.
