  1. lol, it’s been years i’m thinking of best or easiest way to distill water. just open your page this morning and see this video. your idea is much easier than other and base on my application, its best suits. good luck and keep up the good work

  2. @GREENPOWERSCIENCE – Interesting – I get “blimped” frequently, but I’ve never seen anything military around here. BTW – Thanks – I can now tell my wife that when I’ve got stuff lying around the yard that I’m “testing the materials”. Brilliant 😉

  3. Just a thought..Do you think, that if overheating the Florida humid air and then cool it rapidly will dehumidify the air to the state of lower dew point?

  4. This is efficient but the water will have really bad taste that way. It’s probably going to be germ free and safe but, it would smell bad because you boil the water that close to the collector, Some or the dirt and other not so good things are bound to cross over to the collector with the steam.
You did another water distillation system video sometime ago and THAT water was way cleaner and odor free, or so I’m guessing.

  5. Vacuum tube is a glass tube with two layers of glass with a vacuum(empty space) between them.
Tube is filled with dirty water is cover with mug. Dan aims parabolic focal point on tube. The parabolic mirror reflects sunlight to the inner glass which is black(absorbs heat better)which heats up. This heats the dirt water inside the tube to a boil making steam which floats up to the mug. The mug is cooler then the steam so steam is turn back into water(clean water) which runs down into the cup.

  6. @moonreft I have peltier elements even made a video about them on my channel but they are not free. Also they do not need to exceed 70C on the hot side so quite a lot under the water boiling point.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

  7. @electrodacus most use a cool bath to condense the water. In your case I would buy peltier elements and turn the waste heat into electricity. The cooling effect would not be very much but you could kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak

  8. @599891 A local school did just that and was then in trouble for not paying federal tax per gallon. The state may have gotten involved as well. Look into it if your serious.

  9. Nice to have in a pinch. Hey Dan, I have a flex fuel truck, how about making a video for making alcohol with the sun to add to my gas.

  10. Good to see you’ve not forgotten the “Burn the stick” bit, although it could have been a bit stickier.
