  1. Me and my Wife are in search for anyone looking for this same dream!

-I’m buying a large amount “Off the Grid” land in perhaps Costa Rica or Panama.

-Considering the amount of land I wish to purchase, I can move there sooner through a partnership with someone sharing similar interests.

-I am willing to pay for the majority of the land, though we will both be in a 6 figure range.

-We must share similar views on the preservation of the land.

We have now added a small AC freezer, and it’s working awesome. No addition of panel/batteries. Just thought we’d let you know.

Hi, We run a 12v system with this setup and just added a small AC freezer to the mix. It recharges to 100% each day there is sun. When it’s cloudy, they only go down to about 90% at the end of the day, with the DC fridge and AC freezer . Very satisfied with the setup.

Great setup, thanks for your video ★★★ simply build it DIY!
It’s so easy.. I’ve made 2 of them and posted how…

Full Time. We are thinking of adding more batteries. Thanks for the tip and for stopping by.

  6. The 60 cell panels are not relay designed for 24V off grid but with the Canadian weather they will work great most of the year.
In a hot summer day you may not get much out of them but considering the better price of this 60 cell solar panel it works great.
I also purchased 3 of this exact same panels for an 24V off grid installation.
With the MPPT I think you have the panels connected in series? Since they need a larger voltage difference to work than this 60 cells can provide in summer.

  7. Great setup and area. Are you there full time?
If you add more batteries, add a battery desulfurizer it will extend battery life..
    Well done!!

  8. It’s a real lifesaver, wouldn’t go without one. Yes, if we add a freezer, we need to up our battery storage as well.

  9. great setup.. I really need to add a battery monitor to my setup… its on my todo… along with going from 4 batteries to 8…

HI, thanks for your interest in our setup. Go on the website for “solarwyse” in Beaverlodge, AB, you can find the system and prices. Ours ran about $4000. Northern Quebec will be perfect and so beautiful. Good luck in all you are doing.

How much did the entire setup run, APPROX? solar panels and batteries ect. I’m in Montreal and looking to get started on the same type of setup in Northern Quebec. Very inspiring video, wow, THANKS!

Hi there, yes, 4 for now. Want 6, so that the office can run longer and the solar fridge.

  13. Nice setup, hmmmm….looks like those six volt batteries are the way to go. Only four? So much power for such a small set up. Thx for the info.

  14. Thanks, yes read about the theory in a great book, called “off the grid” inside the movement. Nick Rosen talks to all types of off-grid folks. Some are really out there. Tho I don’t have the same outlook being a Canuk, I appreciate some of the indepedentent thinking. I guess we are tucked away in our little corner and don’t have the exposure to the conspiracy theory so much…

  15. Hi there, thanks for the comment. Good luck with it all. It’s a good controller, and it’s MPPT, which makes good sense. You can’t go wrong.

  16. this is great! im constantly looking for people going off grid, im doing the same thing, we nearly have the house up : ) we have a similar solar electric system, but we have not installed it just yet…. was glad to see you were using the same charge controller as us lol, gives me a bit of hope lol, we are very excited to take the final steps

  17. We also have a generator, the cabin is wired for AC power. But when the sun is shining, we can now use small electrical appliances, use the computers, watch a movie and more without filling the generator with gasoline! Our Sundanzer fridge also runs exclusively on this solar system. It is a DC fridge, 5.8 cu.
