  1. go to benjaminmoore.com then click "for your home" then "personal colour viewer". they have all their colours and different rooms. you pick what room then what colour and they’ll display it on the wall in the picture of the room. it’s a neat way to see how colours will turn out.

  2. You need to look at the colors in your furniture and pick a color from that to put on your walls. Usually there is more than one color in the furniture or rugs so you will also be able to pick another color that will coordinate. By doing it this way everything in the room will go together and make a beautiful room.

  3. Are you having burgundy and green together? Not sure if that’s my color choices – but if that’s what you like – a delicious light cream color could compliment it beautifully. I guess actually, if done tastefully with the right shades of the burgundy and green it could look quite good. I would use a lot of green and cream and just little highlights of burgundy – say on piping around edges of cushions, tassles on curtain tie-backs – couple of really beautiful big vases.

  4. Hmmmm…wish you had provided more information. Are you talking about green and burgundy for furniture? wall and carpet colors?

Personally, I don’t think you can beat neutrals. For instance, a beige or tan sofa need not be ho-hum boring if your walls are painted a "look at me!" color, such as deep red, rust, tangerine, Tuscany gold, etc. If this sounds a bit too bold, go with a warm, creamy neutral on the walls, then bring in color with throw pillow, area rugs, draperies and accessories. My philosophy is to stay classic and neutral with big upholstered pieces, and use color, texture, and unique design in accessories and window treatments.

Shades of plum and ivory are nice. Greens and ivories work well together.

Look at magazines and decorating books for inspiration. You’ll find hundreds of ideas on the web, too.

    Good luck.

  5. Paint the walls "antiquarian brown" by Sherwin Williams, with "dover white" for any trim & the ceiling.

Buy some gorgeous microsuede furnishings, such as this:

Add color with an area rug:

and curtains in similar shades. For example, if you choose the Profile Area Rug, then buy art & drapes in either red, plum or green.
