  1. ps the windows were already there, we were just pointing out energy efficient window alternatives that can save tons of energy, especially over a long period of time. old windows are mostly glass, which can easily be recycled, such as for use in our recycled glass countertops.

more videos on our website. thanks again!

  2. hey joe, thanks 4 watching! the carpet was 20+ yrs old damp & moldy. the underlayment beneath was also unhealthy. we recommend removing carpets in this condition. We choose bamboo over exotic and hard woods. those trees can take 20 to 100+ years to regrow & bamboo grows fast as weeds- more sustainable and eliminates the need to cut down endangered forests. the trees cant sustain consumer goods demand like bamboo and hemp. ours are holding up very well & require no wax or coatings so no VOC’s 🙂

  3. GREAT ECO HOUSE SHOW. but what happened to the old carpet and windows (landfill?) would it have been better eco to just clean the old carpet and not to cut down a bamboo forest to replace a carpet that only needs cleaning. I heard that you can not sand down a bamboo floor like you can wood so if a it gets scatched after a few year you can only pull it up and cut down more bamboo forest, wood floors can last 1000’s of years, bamboo?

  4. Great! Anything that gets the eco-message out there is brill. Simple, green tips rule. TS
