@gogogadgetgreen Personaly I love earthships and I would most likely be building one. Yet I do have to say they don’t always have the look you want. This has a better look to many people over a earthship. So no earthship is not the ideal home in every possible way.

This is fine, but we really need talented people like you all to push the envelope farther. Germany has perfected a (no heating system required) Passive House building design that would revolutionize American home building. The style of building scales to any size for nearly any function. Google it, it’s “Passiv Haus” or Passive House design. The walls are twice as thick as normal homes and it relies on a fresh air exchange unit.
just build an earthship if you are serious about this stuff. it is the ideal home in every possible way, for everyone, everywhere and for the planet.
