3 acres are difficult to mow with clippers;-) Actually looking at some 36v mowers for solar conversion.

Yes, it can cut but the fine springs are too fragile to break the skin. Welding/torch goggles work great. A welding helmet is a bit too dark.

  3. Hey Dan,
When you accidentally break the finished glass will it still be able to cut skin as easily as a piece of broken glass from a bottle or something? Also, is a welding visor good enough eye protection?
    Thanks
    Awesome video!

Looks like they already thought of that lens idea 😉 but seriously a solar charged lithium powered robomower would be a great future project.

No kids, just 6 dogs, 1 cat, a goose and some koi fish a few feet long. The Marine is a neighbor who helped with a few projects. He is in boot camp right now.

  6. You can, many people do this with roof mounted solar water heaters. Pretty much looks like a standard solar panel.

hes probably working on that in a later video. My suggestion would be a giant damn Fresnel lens.. one that creates a focal point the size of my front lawn….i think you can see where im going with this. (and yes i hate grass and cutting it)

  8. He just made colored fiber optic. LOL
    Can’t this glass cut?
He has too much fun. What will he experiment next on melting.

  9. So why throughout the day couldn’t you heat a large volume of water that could be piped right into your house ? Maybe a solar powered circulator pump.
