  1. NASA’s Clean Air Plant Study is a good starting point. This is the only website that improves your health.

"Common indoor plants may provide a valuable weapon in the fight against rising levels of indoor air pollution. Those plants in your office or home are not only decorative, but NASA scientists are finding them to be surprisingly useful in absorbing potentially harmful gases and cleaning the air inside modern buildings."

"NASA research has consistently shown that living, green and flowering plants can remove several toxic chemicals from the air in building interiors. You can use plants in your home or office to improve the quality of the air to make it a more pleasant place to live and work – where people feel better, perform better, any enjoy life more."

TOP 10 plants most effective in removing: formaldehyde, benzene, and carbon monoxide from the air.

  2. It depends on where you want to start. Simple things like eating the food you already have and not letting it go to waste. Conserving energy where ever you can, turning off lights, only washing full loads of laundry. Conserving water, by shutting off the water when brushing your teeth, cutting a few minutes off your shower, fixing dripping faucets or leaky toilets. Eating less meat, adjusting the thermostat or not using the a/c or heater when possible.

My favorite book is "The Green Book" it not only lists hundreds of things you can do, it tells you how your changes will impact the world.

  3. You could get a hybrid car of u could turn off the water wile your washing the dishes or brushing your teeth…….Oh you could get some of the twisty light bulbs the don’t use as mush power to get lit up

  4. You’re right about starting simply to more advanced.
Focus on one thing at the time so you don’t feel overwhelmed.

    Small things:

    – Use your car less: instead of going to the video or corner store by car walk, use a bike.

    – Buy local products: transportation costs of goods amount for lots of CO2 emissions.

    – Recycle and start a compost: check if a school nearby has a compost already you could just bring your food waste there. (keep your food scraps in a bag in your freezer until it’s full, that way you avoid bad smells!)

    – Bring reusable bags for whatever shopping you do.

    Good Luck!
