How to build a Solar Panel from Solar Cells DIY Part 1

How to build a Solar Panel from Solar Cells DIY Part 1 This is a video of how I build solar panels from single solar cells wired in series. This is a great DIY “do it yourself” Green power project. These solar panels are very powerful and following these steps you will be able to make them for 1/3 of what they sell them for in the stores. If your looking to get off the grid or just drop your electric bill this is perfect for you! Stay tuned for up and coming parts. I will seal these solar panels and test them in up and coming videos. We will even show how we install it on my own home and how I connect it to our grid tie inverter. I hope you enjoy the video. All the best, -Pete Mixcat.com mixcatcom

  1. Check out my solar power system I build and give some feedback please on dashony.com , you can find a full description of all components I’ve used to build mine, cheers

  2. Huge sale! 4 days only. DIY solar panel kit $99. PV frames $39. Solar panels $129. Make your own solar panels and find all your diy solar products at solar-deals(.)com.

  4. take those panels and put them in the basement.first you take a parabolic solar concentrator and put an robotic arm on it to follow the suns path.then make the focal point a mirrored shape cone that will send the light down through mirrored glass tubing straight into a mirrored shape glass box inside the mirrored shape box will be several solar panels that spin to keep them cool the mirrored box must have the mirrors inward to reflect the light sending from the parabolic focal point.ken van horn

  5. if you really want to make something work here it is take a parabolic solar concentrator and send light into a mirrored cone shape focal point then send that light into mirrored glass tubing which will send the light into a mirrored box with solar panels in it the solar panels must be cooled by spinning or cooling system.now get to work

  6. hey love the video great way of doing it. just a few question does the glass type and thickness matter and where do you get the cells from?

  7. Where did you get the solar cells? You said something in the vid I didn’t quite understand: you said, “I tamped lastnight…” right? That’s what it sounded like. Please reply. This is a great vid.

  8. i got some descent vids on home made panels ….. on a real BUDGET you know, lol check them out

  9. good videos got a couple question… DO you have problems with heat in the summer. Others use the enclapination agent instead of backing claim it helps with the heat.. ALso do you have any experence in the glue instead of the soldier?

    thanks

  10. What is your source for Solar cells and tabbing? I would love to make my own units. I made a solar air furnace and it works great.

  11. I enjoyed this video. I especially like the idea of the plastic sheet for the backing material. Much cheaper than the encapsulant that everyone thinks you should use. One question. Has there been any issues with the cells cracking under temp changes? How does the silicon hold up under temp?

Nice video, Check out my videos about Home Wind and Solar system intalling on the Rooftop. On Earth Day I won a green design contest for my home energy system the RoofMill. Have a look at my home wind turbine videos of installing and running Hybrid Energy Systems. Friends and Subscribers Wanted. Have a good day , Thanks, Sam

  13. @mixcatcom Can you tell me how to hook these up to my house or tell me where I can find good instructions?
    Thanks.

  14. @mixcatcom i am going to want to do this some time in the near future, but what i honestly want to know if my home consumes like 1200 khw every two months, like how many of those lil solar cells do i need??
