High street shops are falling over themselves to stock organic cotton clothes, from M&S and Topshop to Dorothy Perkins and Primark. But why exactly is organic cotton so important? Newconsumer.tv caught up with shoppers, campaigners and fashion legend Katharine Hamnett to find out.

  1. Thank goodness that I am strictly organic! However, I have not been able to find a single store in my city that carries any organic cotton clothing other than one store in the mall that has only a couple T shirts and some socks. Unfortunately, I have to go online if I want to get more than that.
