Total keen on renewable enrgy for Kenyan market

www.ntv.co.ke Multinational and global oil firm Total is now seeking to grow the availability and use of solar energy power among Kenyan households. Through solar powered mobile phone battery chargers and solar powered lanterns, the oil firm hopes to penetrate rural areas in Kenya with the cheap, easy-to-use and widely available form of energy. Senior Vice President in charge of Sustainable Development and Environment for the Total Group Ms. Manoelle Lepoutre says the roll out of the scheme is a pilot project.

  1. at 0:12 Petrol is Ksh 111 per liter. Does anyone realize that this comes to $7 per gallon?
    And no one in Kenya is complaining? wow!
