When "living green" is it environmentally better to practice what is most efficient for you or…?

… recommended for the masses?

All these studies come out with tips, suggestions, and even rules for what is generally most efficient and green. Yet I’ve also heard it’s all up to individual situations.

Is it better to do what is green for you or what is green for most people? In the end, which practice would indeed be greener?

Living vegetarian or vegan is very helpful. There are so many reasons to do that, not only ethical ones. one kilogram of meat consumed 20,000 liters of water, woods have to be burnt down or something else because they are producing wheat for the animals, which you will eat. They carry around the food by ship or plane or something else .. and so one thing comes to another and you see – eating meat or using animals as your "present" is cruel and environmentally unfriendly.
And you could use your bike or public transportation more often.
