Any decorating ideas for a small living room with dark green furniture?

I’ve also got a brown leopard rug, ash and black tv, brown curtains, brown throw pillows and a gold curtain rod.

  1. Sounds like you have a very ‘earth-tone’ decor. Use a natural wood and any natural design features. For example, wicker furniture or shelves, baskets, etc.

  2. there are many online sites where u can design ur ideal room and get furniture accordingly,i suggest u get a couch or a bean bag vch doesnt cost u much..it gives a nice look to the room or get some nice stylish furniture online for a affordable price.. : ) good luch : )

  3. I have one hunter green furniture and leather dining room chairs. I have leopard greek key border oriental rug on my floor. I also have 2 other oriental rug with browns and reds in my living room. I also have leather purple with hunter green cording chairs. Two of my chairs are opposite leather hunter green and purple cording. Two of my chairs have cane backs and reddish upholstered seats. I have a stool with leopard upholstery and another furniture with mauve upholstery to match the drapes behind it, which matches the French door curtain. My dining room curtain matches one of my rocking chair which is ballooned-shade latticed with floral mauve/green leaves background off white. One of my drape is off white with gold embroidered Asian lattice with antique gold rod.

It’s not something you’d find cloned from HGTV, it’s our personality and it’s very cozy.

  4. firstly, what color are your walls? with dark furniture, a soft cream color on the walls is a good choice and you can always paint one wall a bold accent color. Get rid of the Leopard Rug and go for something in wine, berry, turquoise, and/or another bright jewel color. Play up the color(s) in your throw pillows, colored candles in gold or silver colored candlesticks, and try sheer solid or patterned curtain panels in the jewel colors in the center of your brown curtains. a bronze patina wall sculpture can add interest and texture as well. Have fun with it – you don’t have to spend a lot of cash either – go to Home Goods (hopefully you have one nearby,) or Pier 1 Imports. Even Target is a wonderful source for great looks at low prices.

  5. Pick a great bright color and use it as an accent.
    Even white would work.
    Purple would also work well.
Get throw pillows, tall vases, lamps and so on.
    have fun decorating.
