How to make the green in my eyes stand out?

My eyes are hazel but they mostly have brown with a ring of green around them.I would rather wear light makeup and don’t have a wide variety of clothing. I really like more green then brown but I got stuck with more brown then green. So anyway’s how can I make the green in my eyes stand out more then the brown?
would light purple eye shadow be okay too?

  1. Use a green or purple eyeliner on the lower lashline..I know colored eyeliners scare a lot of people, but even just a teeny bit of green or purple eyeliner can make a huge difference. I would recommend Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Covet- a beauuutiful exotic green with silver shimmer, Graffiti- a bright green with silver sparkle, or Mildew- a forest-y green, very pretty. Dior makes a really pretty green eyeliner too, but the Urban Decay one is less smudge-y and totally worth the investment!! Urban Decay makes 4 really pretty purple eyeliners as well (Rockstar- a purple that’s kind of taupe-y, like eggplant, Ransom- a bright purple with a blue sparkle sheen, Lust- a darker purple with silver sparkles that leans a little more on the gray side, and 1999- a more of a reddish purple with silver sparkle).

You can also line these on your upper lashline, or use a shadow in green, purple, or gold as well!

Avoid light purple eyeshadows, because they are usually chalky and cheap-y looky. I prefer medium to dark purples.

  2. 1. PURPLE! On the color wheel purple is one of the opposites of green, menaing that when green is paired with that color it will make them stand out alot more. Use a barely there purple eyeliner, wich will actually look natural if you use it lightlyand still cause your green to stand out. You could use it on the inner rims of your eyes, smudge a little on the bottom, and frame the lid close to your eyelashes on the top. If you want a stand out effect that may venture from your everyday makeup, you can add a wing to the top lid and reline so the color is darker.
    2. Red eyeshadow also looks amazing, but only apply it along the crease lightly (unless your eyes will look irritated), use an extremely light or pale green shadow to be the highlight that you should use below the crease on the middle of the lid, and use an eggplant brown/mauve/purple eyeshadow in each corner of your eye, extending to the highlight light green shadow, and making an upside down U below the red. Then use a regular cream highilght along the browbone. Remember to use primer so the eyeshadow won’t fade. I would also reccomend filling in your brows with an eyebrow pencil in a light brown. After applying the eyeshadow, slightly blend it without turning the color muddy. Remember to use a regular dark brown eyeliner to line your eyes and mascara. This is a great evening look to get your eyes to have a great green effect.
    3. Golds might also bring out the green. Just use a golden eyeshadow on the base and crease of the lid, a darker brown in both the corners of the eyes, a highlight in the mmiddle of the lid and also on the top of the browbone, and optional black or darkbrown eyeliner and mascara.
    Hope I helped!
