Solar power running my pool pump!!!

I added 1 more solar panel now I can run the pump at higher speeds for free. 4 120 watt panels running a Hayward ecostar pump

  1. I dont have the specs. pn the GPM but at the speed I run it the pool is very clean.

  2. $1500 for the hole set up the pool pump will burn about $700 a year to operate.

  3. How much did it cost to run the pump normally? How much did the PV panels, the meters, the inverters, the wiring cost? How long did it take for you to install the whole system?

  4. should get a 500-1000 watt 24v DC motor for a scooter. Eliminate the inverter losses and drive the motor directly. Would be a neat little setup. Depended on sun level the pump motor would vary in RPM maximizing output.

  5. Great video. One of the downfalls of a pool purchase is it runs your utility bill up. Now maybe I can talk the wife into buying a pool after I show her this video. LOL

  7. are they gti’s? if so how do you power anything with them…i assumed they are just used to put power into the grid.please explain as im curious now,,thanks for vid.
