  1. Lighter greens will fade towards yellow and darker greens will fade towards an orange colour due to the types of dyes used to colour them that shade of yellow. The green dye is a mixture of blue, yellow and whatever other colour used to give it the shade it has. The blue tends to wash away more easily in the wash, so it is the other colours left over which become dominant and the mixture of them determine the colour you are left with. Yellow and red will make orange, and with a little of the blue still there it will make brown. The red is used to change the shades of green, usually used to get a darker green.

BTW there is no such thing as true black dye. Black is the absence of colour. The "black" dye is actually an extremely dark blue.

  2. Orange laundry soap. Seriously, wash using cold water on gentle cycle and hang dry. Make sure you wash colors separately.

Because in most cases you get green from mixing yellow and black- try it with some paint!
