natural components of ecosystems (the natural systems that humans disrupt), conservation (of land, species, etc), go into what exactly are endangered species and why its important to maintain biodiversity. The students should try and understand these concepts, then lead into how green living helps the systems return to a natural equilibrium, or attempts to. you can cover recycling, the little things that can be done at home that make a big difference (shorter showers, etc)
